The University of Kentucky Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) was one of three chapters recently selected to visit John Deere leadership at the headquarters in Moline, Illinois.

The event provided young Kentucky students, from all backgrounds, an opportunity to learn about equine and demonstrate the basics of leading, moving and caring for horses. 

Caitlyn McFadden is paving the way for more students to explore careers  at John Deere through MANRRS, Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences, a  program that has given so much to her, starting in high school.

First-generation graduate, fourth-generation African American farmer and former University of Kentucky football student athlete Sylvester Miller II remains connected to his alma mater through MANRRS - Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences.

Simone Heath was the first Black woman to graduate from the University of Kentucky’s landscape architecture program. She is now using these skills to help build stronger communities in Atlanta as an urban designer.
